Summer Immersion Programs

This program will run from July to September annually. The aim of these programs is to prepare every student to have a mastery of a STEM field he/she is interested in through instructional conversations as well as interactive activities that stimulate curiosity, discovery, critical thinking, cooperation and collaboration.

Divided into 3 broad categories, these students will be taught courses such as robotics, Lego, app and website building, 3D drawing, and much more. This will lead to college and career readiness in the Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics professions. The various categories these kids will be divided into are kids from 5 – 11 years old, kids from 12 – 18 years old, and, university students.

STEM Education

Our STEM Learning objective is the development of sustainable, long-lasting, and effective initiatives in education. We intend to achieve this by collaborating with schools and implementing innovative projects to ensure that our objectives have maximum impact when needed most. We intend to introduce the basic concepts of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics at the school level. Thus spike students’ interest in Science and Technology.

Our laboratories will be designed to make learning more practical, fun-loving, and easy to understand for students. It gives them proactive experience with the actual scientific models that they learn about from their textbooks. The Cameroonian syllabus in STEM is a little weak and thus doesn’t put its citizen at a comparative advantage with the rest of the world. As such, there need for policy recommendations for a change in the syllabus and create an enabling environment to bring the students up to par in order to compete adequately with their foreign counterparts.

Thus laboratories will be designed and developed to take care of;
  • Hands-on course work and instruction of the fundamentals of science, math, and technology that encourages and develops higher-order thinking.
  • Teach reading, writing, and vocabulary development directly connected to STEM fields.
  • Extended learning beyond the classroom.
  • Carry out a real-world application that utilizes knowledge and experience gained in the program to be used to provide interactive community service.
  • Encourage STEM students to recognize they are part of a community of scholars and their individual success is directly connected to their personal effort.
Other activities carried out in this program will include:
  • Review and policy recommendation of old STEM syllabuses in Cameroon.
  • Promote and encourage students to undertake International Exams like SAT and GCSE.
  • Creation of STEM Clubs in schools.
  • Promote Quiz competitions and Science fairs.

Humanitarian assistance

In as much as education is our paramount goal, we are also very much aware of the plight of the masses especially that of the disadvantaged and minority groups. We will advocate for the respect of the rights of these people and provide humanitarian assistance to all especially to the group focus below paying particular attention to gender mainstreaming, the care for elderly and aged, and foster care and orphanages.
