FUTIH Laura NGE

Founder & CEO

Futih Laura Nge a young Cameroonian Gender/Human Rights activist holds an MBA in Financial Management from Obafemi Awolowo University and is a Young African Leadership Initiative (YALI) Alumni. She inspires and supports women to follow their vision. In addition, she wants everyone to become power-users of the new technologies, by better understanding and capturing the underlying technology mechanisms. Laura believes that women are an embodiment of strength and vitality who will use the evolutionary ideas of science and technology to foster development and quality livelihood.  She aligns with the philosophy of Lise Meitner which states; “Science makes people reach selflessly for truth and objectivity; it teaches people to accept reality, with wonder and admiration.”

EYABI Antoinette

Executive Officer

After obtaining her Bachelors of Law, L.L.B from Pan African University, Antoinette believed it was time for her to give back to the society. With three kids and a full-time job, she never thought she would even get to this point of total service to her community. Her sole motivation lies in the words of Antonia Novello which is; “I believe that fortitude is the key. More than anything be consistent. Go at it. Go at it. Go at it. When you succeed, don’t forget the responsibility of making someone else succeed with you.”


Shing Praise Wandia

Programs Coordinator

Shing Praise Wandia is a masters degree holder in International Law, a PhD researcher, a youth leader, human Rights activist And an educator. He has worked as human Rights officer at the Centre for Human Rights and Democracy in Africa, at Adise company Ltd as Assistant Manager, and at Chariot Radio as a Legal Consultant. Ge is currently the Programs Director at Her Innovation Cameroon and an of Human Rights and Legal Research Centre. He is an ardent supporter of Women’s rights and gender equity.

Chiara MANJO

Gender Volunteer

Chiara has taken part in community activities and programs that aim to elevate the status of women and girls. To her, the empowerment of women and girls is a primordial step to the growth and development of every nation. She is a firm believer of Danica Mckellar’s quote that states “If you are beautiful, you are led to believe that you can’t be smart. But you can be fun and fit and social and be really smart. And the smarter you are, the more capable you will be to handle whatever challenges come up in life.”


NGHA Lilianne-Franka

Human Rights Volunteer

Lilianne looks forward to seeing more women in decision making positions and breaking out of the Gender box which women have been confined to by daring into male dominated fields like STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics).She is confident that, female involvement in STEM will go a long way to not only empower them financially but also grant them active and full involvement in the development process as part of collectively achieving the sustainable development goals. She lives by the mantra “the science of today is the technology of tomorrow.”

CHO Emmanuella

Educationist

Emmanuella is an educationist who has been particularly concerned about the effects of global warming on the Earth. She believes that more women should be engaged in the fight against global warming and abhors patriarchal standards in Cameroon where women have no place in decision making and administration.  Her background in pedagogy, law and counselling makes it easier to interact with young women and encourage them to join the course. She agrees with Eugenie Clark who says;“We ignore public understanding of science at our own peril.”


Gwamesia Sheila

Educationist

Sheila is biologist, an educator and entrepreneur. In spite of her involvement in academia, she is more than willing to engage in nonprofit activities. She is a fan of Barbara McClintock saying of; “If you know you are on the right track, if you have this inner knowledge, then nobody can turn you off no matter what they say”.
